The Police have arrested a 37-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of discharge of dangerous fireworks.

 

On 18 October 2017 at about 10.30 pm, the Police were alerted to loud sounds believed to have originated from the discharge of fireworks at the roof garden of Block 307A Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and arrested him at about 1.30pm today after establishing his identity.

 

Investigations are currently on-going. Anyone convicted for the offence of Discharge of Dangerous Fireworks under Section 3(1)(b), Chapter 72, will be liable to a fine of not less than $2000 and not more than $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.
