The Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 17 October 2017 at about 10.00 pm, a 26-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by an unknown man along Jurong East Street 21.
Through extensive ground enquiries and the aid of Police Cameras (POLCAMS), officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Toh Guan Road East on 19 October 2017.
The man will be charged in Court on 21 October 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
