The Police have arrested a 41-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty which took place at the vicinity of Buangkok MRT Station.
On 17 October 2017 at about 1.15am, a 20-year-old woman reported that she was molested by an unknown man at the vicinity of Buangkok MRT Station.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division and TransCom conducted investigations and arrested the man at the vicinity of Buangkok MRT Station on 23 October 2017. Investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
