The Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.
A 20-year-old female victim reported that she was molested on 18 October 2017 while she was on board a bus along Woodlands Avenue 6.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Woodlands Avenue 7 on 6 November 2017.
Investigations against the suspect are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
