Traffic Arrangements For National Steps Challengetm The New Paper Big Walk 2017

 National Steps ChallengeTM The New Paper Big Walk 2017 will be held on Sunday, 26 November 2017.

 

To facilitate the event, the following roads and lanes will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, 26 November 2017:

1. The carriageway of Nicoll Highway in the direction of Esplanade Drive (between Mountbatten Road and Middle Road)

2. Slip road leading from Mountbatten Road into Nicoll Highway

3. Lanes 3, 4 and 5 of Guillemard Road in the direction of Nicoll Highway

3 am to 9.30 am

4. Slip road leading from the roundabout connecting Stadium Drive and the exit into Nicoll Highway

5. Slip road leading from the roundabout connecting Stadium Road, Stadium Drive
and Stadium Place into Nicoll Highway

6. Republic Avenue (between Republic Boulevard and Nicoll Highway)

3 am to 12 noon

7. Republic Avenue (between Crawford Street and Republic Boulevard)

8. Left lane of Republic Boulevard in the direction of Raffles Avenue (between Republic Boulevard and Raffles Avenue)

9. Left lane of Raffles Avenue (between Republic Boulevard and Bayfront Avenue)

4 am to 11 am

 

 

10. Extreme left lane of the roundabout connecting Stadium Drive, Stadium Boulevard and Stadium Walk

11. Part of the roundabout connecting Stadium Drive and the exit into Nicoll Highway

12. Stadium Drive (between the roundabout connecting Stadium Drive and the exit into Nicoll Highway and the roundabout connecting Stadium Drive and Stadium Boulevard)

5 am to 12 noon

13. 2 left lanes of Nicoll Highway in the direction of Esplanade Drive (between Mountbatten Road and Republic Avenue)

14. 2 left lanes of the slip road leading from Mountbatten Road into Nicoll Highway

15. Lanes 4 and 5 of Guillemard Road in the direction of Nicoll Highway

9.30 am to 12 noon

 

 

During the closure, access will only be granted to police and emergency vehicles. Auxiliary Police Officers will be deployed at the affected roads to assist and direct motorists.

 

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed.
