A multi-agency operation led by Clementi Police Division and supported by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, Special Operation Command, Traffic Police, Singapore Civil Defence Force and Central Narcotics Bureau was held in the early hours of 3 December 2017.
During the operation, a total of five public entertainment outlets along Sentosa Gateway were checked for possible contraventions of Public Entertainment Licensing Conditions. The Police also conducted checks on 125 persons during the operation. Two men who are suspected to be a member of unlawful society were arrested while three other men were arrested for disorderly behaviour.
The Traffic Police also conducted an enforcement operation against drink driving in the vicinity of Telok Blangah Road, where 16 motorists were checked. A man and a woman were arrested for drink-driving.
Investigations against these seven persons are ongoing.
With the festive season fast approaching, the police would like to remind all motorists that drink-driving is an irresponsible act that puts their lives and the lives of other road users at risk. The Police will continue with our enforcement efforts and will work closely with other law enforcement agencies to clamp down on criminal activities. Offenders will be dealt with in accordance to the law.
