The Police have arrested a 26-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 4 December at about 12.20 pm, the Police received a report that an 11-year-old victim had been allegedly molested by a man on board an MRT train between Clementi and Redhill MRT station. The man was arrested by officers who responded to the scene.
The man will be charged in Court on 6 December 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty against person under 14 years of age under Section 354(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 5 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
