The Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.
On 13 January 2018, a 20-year-old woman reported that she was molested when she was queuing for payment at a petrol kiosk along Bukit Batok West Avenue 5.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 14 January 2018, within 16 hours of the report. Investigations against the man are ongoing.
Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
