The Police have arrested four men, aged between 64 and 81, for their suspected involvement in Public Gaming activities following an operation conducted by Central Police Division on 27 January 2018.

 

The suspects were arrested for offences under the Common Gaming Houses Act along Crawford Lane. A total of $766 cash was seized.

 

Investigations are ongoing.

 

Under the Common Gaming Houses Act, any person gaming in public shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5000 or to an imprisonment a term not exceeding 6 months or both.

 

The Police will continue to take tough enforcement action against those who are involved in such illegal activities and they will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
