The Police have arrested ten youths, aged between 16 and 18, for their suspected involvement in a case of Rioting which took place along 10 Simei Avenue on 25 January 2018.
On 25 January 2018 at about 12.30pm, the Police received a report that a group of people are fighting along 10 Simei Ave.
Through extensive ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the suspects and arrested them on 26 January 2018.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted in Court for the offence of Rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 may be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to seven years and shall also be liable to caning.
