Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Relocation of Geylang Neighbourhood Police Centre

A ground breaking ceremony was held for the relocation of Geylang Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) on Sunday, 4 February 2018. Mr Lim Biow Chuan, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Member of Parliament for Mountbatten SMC, graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour.

Geylang NPC will be relocated from its current location at 132 Paya Lebar Road to its new location in front of Blk 42 Cassia Crescent. The new building is expected to be operational by mid-2019. The relocation will enable the Singapore Police Force to better serve the needs of the population as Paya Lebar Central is redeveloped.

“The relocation of Geylang NPC from our current site, which has served us since 2000, is a significant move in ensuring that we are able to meet the growing demand from future changes in terrain and population profiles. At the same time, this move will allow us to continue to provide swift and efficient police response to the community that we serve.” said Superintendent Kwok Jiann Yrong.
