The Police have arrested a 26-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty at Blk 201 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.
On 15 February 2018 at about 5.50am, the Police received a report from a 24-year-old victim informing that she had been molested by an unknown man. The man had allegedly attempted to befriend her before molesting her and then fleeing towards the direction of Blk 202 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted investigations and arrested the man along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 on the same day.
Police investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
