On 15 February 2018 at 5.47pm, the Police were alerted to an accident involving a prime mover along Jurong Town Hall Road towards Ayer Rajah Expressway. Three men, aged between 18 and 43, were conveyed to the National University Hospital (NUH). The 43-year-old man is believed to have sustained injuries to the face and chest, and was subsequently pronounced dead at NUH on the same day at 7.46pm.
The Police arrested one of the other two men, aged 31, in relation to the case. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident is believed to have resulted following a dispute between the deceased and the suspect.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 17 February 2018 with an offence of Murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries the death penalty.
