The Police have arrested a 63-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of undergarments at Bukit Batok estate.
On 22 February 2018, the Police were alerted to a case of theft of undergarments at Block 106 Bukit Batok Central. Through extensive ground enquiries and the aid of footages from Police cameras (POLCAM), officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 26 February 2018 at 8.05pm. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases in Bukit Batok estate.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 28 February 2018. Anyone convicted for the offence of Theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
