The Police have arrested a 40-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
 
On 1 April 2018, a 27-year-old woman reported to the Police that she was molested in her office located at Shenton Way. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man was doing renovation work in her company’s office when he ran into the victim and allegedly molested her. Officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day. 
 
Investigations against the man are ongoing. Anyone convicted of outrage of modesty under Section 354 (1) of the Penal Code may be punished with imprisonment of up to two years, or fined, and is also liable to caning.
