The Police have arrested a 26-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 3 April 2018, a 33-year-old woman reported that she was molested at the void deck of Blk 612 Jurong West Street 64. Through extensive ground enquiries and images from Police Cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 4 April 2018.
The suspect will be charged in court on 6 April 2018. Anyone convicted of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to two years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
