The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 5 May 2018 at about 2.15pm, a woman reported to the Police her granddaughter had been molested by an unknown man at Blk 149 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh. Officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and arrested the suspect on the same day.
The man will be charged in court on 16 May 2018 with the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 5 years or with a fine, or with caning or with any combination of such punishments.
