The Police have arrested five women, aged between 21 to 36, for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act during an operation conducted on 23 May 2018.
Central Police Division conducted a series of enforcement operations against unlicensed massage establishments and public entertainment outlets located along Tanjong Pagar Road Plaza, Circular Road, Queen Street, Lavender Street, Stanley Street, North Canal Road, Lavender Street and Jalan Besar. Three unlicensed massage establishments and four public entertainment outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions. Five women were arrested for working without valid work permit at a public entertainment outlet. Investigations are ongoing.
The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and these offenders will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
