The Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of cheating cases.
On 23 May 2018, the Police received a report of an unknown man who had submitted multiple online applications for new mobile phone lines. The unknown man had used forged documents to apply for new mobile phone lines which came with free mobile.
Officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted follow-up investigations to establish the identity of the man and subsequently arrested him on 24 May 2018.
The man will be charged in court on 28 May 2018 with cheating, under Section 420 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years and shall also be liable to fine.
