The Police have arrested four women, aged between 22 and 42, for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act during an enforcement operation against unlicensed massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Serangoon Road, Lavender Street, Jalan Besar, Coleman Street, Beach Road and Middle Road on 31 May 2018.
During the operation by Central Police Division, three unlicensed massage establishments were detected with one establishment allegedly found to be offering sexual services. Three public entertainment outlets were also found to have contravened licensing conditions. Four women who were allegedly working without valid work permits at these public entertainment outlets were arrested.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and Massage Establishment Act. The Police take a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and these offenders will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
