The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 26 June 2018, the Police received a report from a female victim informing that she had been molested by an unknown man along Tampines Avenue 2. Through ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Tampines Ave 2 on the same day. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in a similar incident reported on 8 May 2018.
The man will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on 28 June 2018. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
