A 27-year-old man will be charged in court on 29 June 2018 for his suspected involvement in gang-related activities.
The man is believed to be a member of an unlawful society and had flaunted his secret society affiliation in a club located along Outram Road on 24 September 2017.
Under Section 14(3) of the Societies Act, Chapter 311, anyone found guilty of being or acting as a member of an unlawful society shall be liable to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment for a term of up to three years or both.
The Police take a very stern view against gang-related activities, and will not hesitate to take action against those who choose to be associated with gangs or blatantly disregard the law.
