The Police conducted a series of enforcement operations against unlicensed massage establishments and public entertainment outlets on 5 and 6 July 2018.
During the enforcement operations against unlicensed massage establishments at Chinatown and Tras Street, one establishment was found to have contravened licensing conditions.
During the enforcement checks on public entertainment outlets located along Serangoon Road and South Bridge Roads, two outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions. A total of 27 women and 3 men aged between 18 and 32 were arrested for working without valid work permits under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and Massage Establishment Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement stance against such activities.
