The Singapore Police Force held a Graduation Parade at the Home Team Academy on 12 July 2018. This parade marked the completion of the Police National Service (PNS) Basic Training Course by the Police National Service Full-Time (PNSF) trainees of the 171st Intake. The 495 trainees will move on to embark on their next journey as part of national service.
Ms Sun Xueling, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (SPS), Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of National Development graced the event as the Reviewing Officer for the parade. Numerous prestigious awards were given out to the deserving trainees. At the parade, four officers of different police vocations were also named the NSF of the Year in recognition of their outstanding contributions and commitment.
Trainee Special Constable (TSC) Douglas Choi was awarded the PNS Statuette Award for being the Overall Best Trainee
Inspector (NS) Melvin Ong, who completed his full-time service recently, was one of five officers named the NSF of the Year
Sergeant (NS) Hafiz Bin Mohamad Hamzah who completed his full-time service recently, was one of five officers named the NSF of the Year
