The Police conducted a series of enforcement operations against public entertainment outlets and unlicensed massage establishment on 16 August 2018.
During the enforcement operations against massage establishments along Jasmine Road, one premise was detected to be operating as an unlicensed massage establishment.
During the enforcement checks on public entertainment outlets along Balestier Road, Newton Road, Selegie Road and Koek Road, three outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions. A 24-year-old woman was also arrested for offences under the Immigration Act.
Action will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and the Massage Establishments Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take a tough enforcement stance against such activities.
