The Police have arrested a 51-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 28 August 2018 at about 4.22 pm, the Police were alerted that a 15-year-old girl was molested at Bishan Park. Through follow-up investigations, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day.
The man will be charged in court on 30 August 2018 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty shall be punished with an imprisonment term, which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
