The Police have arrested a 66-year-old man for suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 26 September 2018, the Police were informed by a female victim that she was molested by an unknown man at a playground located along Woodlands Circle.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day, within 6 hours upon receiving the report.
The man will be charged in court on 28 September 2018. Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 5 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
