The Central Police Division conducted a series of enforcement operations against public entertainment outlets on 12 and 13 October 2018.

During the enforcement checks on public entertainment outlets along Foch Road, two outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions and one outlet was found operating without a licence. 24 women, aged between 18 and 28, were arrested for working without valid work permits under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act and offences under the Immigration Act.

Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015.

The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement stance against such activities
