In a ceremony held at Central Police Division on 29 November 2018, Mr Mohamad Anazri Bin Awang was commended for his public-spiritedness. He had assisted the Police to detain a man believed to be involved in a case of insulting the modesty of a woman.

On 26 September 2018 at about 10.45pm, Mr Anazri was shopping at the grocery section of Mustafa Centre when he spotted a man squatting next to a woman and peeping underneath her skirt. Mr Anazri captured the man’s actions on his mobile phone and alerted the security officer for their assistance to call for the Police.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Gregory Tan, Commander of Central Police Division said, “This is a good reminder that the community plays an important role by being vigilant and assisting the Police in crime fighting. We would like to thank Mr Anazri for his assistance and public-spiritedness. His vigilance is indeed highly commendable.”
