The Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of cash cards.

On 27 November 2018, the Police received a report from a victim informing that his cash card was stolen from the In-Vehicle Unit of his motorcycle parked along Grange Road.

Through follow-up investigations, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 29 November 2018 along Grange Road. 24 cash cards were recovered from the man and seized as case exhibits. Based on preliminary investigations, the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases of thefts in the same carpark. Investigations are ongoing.

The Police would like to advise all vehicle owners to adopt the following crime prevention measures:

  • Park in well-lit areas;
  • Install an anti-theft alarm system;
  • Use a motorcycle canvas to cover the motorcycle, securing both ends.
