The Police have arrested a 22-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 29 November 2018, the Police received a report from a female victim informing that she had been molested by an unknown man on an electronic scooter along Bedok Reservoir Road off Jalan Lembah Bedok. Through ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Bedok Reservoir Road on 28 December 2018.
Investigations against the man are ongoing. Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
