The Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft from vehicles.

Between 28 November 2018 and 17 January 2019, the Police received four reports from victims informing that their cashcards and valuables were allegedly stolen from their vehicles that were parked at the carparks of various shopping malls.

Through investigation, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 21 January 2019 along Fernvale Road. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases of theft from vehicles.

The man will be charged in court on 23 January 2019 with theft from vehicle under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces an imprisonment term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or both.
