The Police have arrested a 21-year-old woman in a two-day enforcement operation against massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Jalan Sultan, Middle Road, Waterloo Street, Kampong Bahru Road, Syed Alwi Road and Tras Street from 31 January to 1 February 2019.
During the enforcement operation conducted by Central Police Division, three unlicensed massage establishments were detected.
Two public entertainment outlets were found to have contravened public entertainment licensing conditions, as well as offences under the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015. A 21-year-old woman was arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Massage Establishment Act 2017, Public Entertainments Act and Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015. The Police takes a serious view of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement action against those found breaking the law.
