The Police have arrested a 51-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft.
On 14 February 2019, the Police received a report that a man’s wallet was stolen at the taxi stand at 53 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3. Through ground enquiries and with the aid of police cameras, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 18 February 2019.
The man will be charged in court on 19 February 2019 with theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he may be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with a fine, or both.
