The Police have arrested five women, aged between 22 and 32, in a two-day enforcement operation against massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Serangoon Road, Rangoon Road, Bencoolen Street, Beach Road and North Bridge Road from 20 to 21 February 2019.
During the enforcement operation conducted by Central Police Division, two unlicensed massage establishments were detected and a massage establishment was found to have contravened licensing conditions. A 27-year-old woman was arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
During the enforcement checks on public entertainment outlets, three outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions. Four women, aged between 22 and 32 were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Investigations are ongoing.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and Massage Establishment Act 2017. The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement action against such activities.
