The Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft by day.
On 3 April 2019 at about 4.30pm, the Police received a report that a residential unit at Teban Gardens Road had been broken into and an e-scooter valued at approximately $900 was stolen.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 4 April 2019. The e-scooter was also recovered.
The man will be charged in court on 6 April 2019 with housebreaking and theft by day under Section 454 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 3 years, and also a fine.
