Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 4 April 2019. The e-scooter was also recovered.

The man will be charged in court on 6 April 2019 with housebreaking and theft by day under Section 454 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 3 years, and also a fine.
