The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 22 April 2019 at about 11.10pm, the Police received a report from a 39-year-old female victim that she had been molested by an unknown man along Ubi Avenue 2.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of footage from CCTVs, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Guillemard Road on 23 April 2019.
The man will be charged in court on 25 April 2019. Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
