The Police have arrested a 68-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 9 May 2019 at about 2.55pm, the Police received a report that a 10-year-old male victim was molested by an unknown man along Tampines Ave 9.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTVs, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Tampines Street 44 on 10 May 2019.
Investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 5 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
