The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of public nuisance.
On 2 June 2019 at about 5.45pm, the Police were alerted to a case where a man was disturbing a female passenger while he was on board a public bus along Pasir Ris Street 13.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 3 June 2019. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had attempted to touch the female passenger and said obscene words to her.
The man will be charged in court on 4 June 2019 with public nuisance under Section 290 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he may be punished with a fine which may extend to $1,000/-.
