The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty on 11 June 2019.
On 27 May 2019 at about 11.55 am, a 27-year-old woman reported to the Police that she was molested by an unknown man along Pasir Ris Street 72. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 11 June 2019.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
