    Thirteen Men Arrested For Rioting Along Geylang Road 

    The Police have arrested thirteen men, aged between 18 and 23, for their suspected involvement in a case of rioting along Geylang Road.

    On 16 June 2019 at about 3.00am. Police received reports of a fight along 517 Geylang Road.

    Through follow-up investigations by the officers from Bedok Police Division and Criminal Investigations Department, the thirteen suspects were swiftly arrested.

    Police investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, are liable to imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years and shall also be liable to caning.
