The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty along Jurong West Ave 5.
On 17 June 2019, the Police received a report from a 26-year-old victim informing that she was molested by an unknown man while she was in the lift.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras officers from the Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the 24 June 2019.
The man will be charged in court on 25 June 2019. Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
