The Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 9 July 2019, at about 3.50pm, the Police received a report from a female victim that she was molested by an unknown man along Yishun Ave 2.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 17 July 2019.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
