The Police will be charging a 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman on 17 September 2019 for murder under Section 302(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
On 10 September 2019 at about 8.30pm, the Police received a call for assistance at Block 52 Chin Swee Road. Upon arrival, Police found human remains inside a residential unit.
Police have established that the remains are that of a two-and-a-half-year-old female toddler. The 31-year-old man and the 30-year-old woman are the biological parents of the deceased, and are suspected to have killed the deceased. The suspects have been remanded since June 2018 for other unrelated offences. They are believed to have murdered the victim prior to their remand.
Police investigations are ongoing.
