The Police have arrested a 26-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 20 October 2019 at about 12.15 pm, a 15-year-old female teenager reported that she had been molested by an unknown man along New Upper Changi Road.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from closed-circuit television footages, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 24 October 2019.
Investigations are ongoing. The offence of outrage of modesty, under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
