Youth Carnival @ Bedok was launched on 8 December 2019 by Member of Parliament for East Coast Group Representation Constituency, Mr Lee Yi Shyan, together with representatives from the Bedok Police Division and participating youths. The carnival, held at Heartbeat @ Bedok, marks the first such inter-agency effort led by the Bedok Police Division to reach out to the youths.
, [1]In partnership with 11 other agenciesthe carnival saw more than 10,000 people attending the event, with dozens of youths signing up for various programmes with our community partners. These ranged from programmes that provide support to youths in need, to volunteering programmes that allow youths to serve the community. The carnival also featured exciting music and educational performances, SPF vehicle & equipment displays, a textbook drive, as well as sports and activity booths.
Commander of Bedok Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Julius Lim said, “Youth Carnival @ Bedok seeks to provide more opportunities for our youths to serve their communities and become productive members of the society. We believe that it is in the interest of the whole community that our youths are able to fulfil their potential and chase their dreams.”
