Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from the police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day.

The man will be charged in court on 30 January 2020 with the offence of voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapon under Section 324 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with an imprisonment term which may extend to 7 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.

The Police takes a serious view of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement actions against those breaking the law.
