    Two Men Arrested For Cheating

    The Police have arrested two men, aged 33 and 56, for their suspected involvement in a case of cheating.

    On 7 February 2020, the Police received a report that two men had wanted to pawn a fake ring at a pawnshop located along Jurong West St 93. Officers from Jurong Police Division responded to the case and arrested both men.

    The men will be charged in court on 8 February 2020 with cheating with common intention under Section 420 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to a fine.

    The Police would like to advise pawnshop proprietors to be vigilant against possible scams.
