The Police have arrested a 34 year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft in dwelling.
Between 16 January 2020 and 11 February 2020, the Police were alerted to multiple cases of theft in dwelling at shops located island-wide. The victims reported that monies were stolen from cash registers and tip containers.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 12 February 2020.
The man will be charged in court on 14 February 2020 with the offence of theft in dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 7 years and a fine.
