The Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two cases of theft.
On 6 and 11 February 2020, the Police were alerted to two cases of theft along Tampines Street 22. One of the victims informed that his pet birds and two birdcages, which were left along the common corridor of the HDB, were stolen. The victim of the second case reported that a birdcage and related paraphernalia were stolen.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 12 February 2020.
Police investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 may be punished with a jail term of up to 3 years, a fine, or both
